“Its cheaper to tip myself over into the river. That’s my alternative.” That was the heartbreaking story that we heard today from one caller, as we discussed Euthanasia in Ireland.
We had author Gail O’Rorke in the studio talking about her friend who was the inspiration for her new book ‘Crime of Compassion?: One Woman’s Story of a Loving Friendship That Knew No Bounds’.
Gail is the first person to be tried in Ireland for assisting a suicide. She has called for a new law allowing the terminally ill to die with dignity.
